Reinforced concrete structures

From metro stations to hotels: reinforced concrete work from substructure to structural frame.

We use concrete where it offers advantages in cost and function. In industrial buildings it is preferred for foundations and ground floor slabs, for improving open areas, for side façades and, above all, for administration buildings. In commercial buildings, structures built entirely in reinforced concrete apart from the roof are common.

Because a factory building made entirely of reinforced concrete reduces usable space and functionality, we recommend combining concrete with steel. For administration and commercial buildings, where heating, cooling and appearance matter most, we apply predominantly reinforced concrete solutions.

Scope

  1. 01Foundations and ground floor slabs
  2. 02Improvement of open areas
  3. 03Side façades
  4. 04Administration and commercial buildings
  5. 05Reinforced concrete substructures

Advantages of concrete

  • It has high fire resistance.
  • It reduces temperature fluctuations, which benefits ventilation.
  • Its airtightness is an advantage for heating and cooling.
  • Its raw materials are produced locally and are readily available.

Frequently asked questions

What reinforced concrete work have you carried out?

We carried out reinforced concrete work at the Sarıgazi and Sancaktepe metro stations. On the Eurasia Tunnel (Avrasya Tüneli) we built the reinforced concrete for the TBM exit structure, and at Mandarin Hotel and Tersane Istanbul we carried out reinforced concrete and steel work together.

Can a factory building be built entirely in reinforced concrete?

It can, but this reduces usable space and functionality. For factories, we recommend combining concrete with steel and using reinforced concrete mainly for the administration building.
